 What do I think of IT (Cybersecurity)

I have always been fascinated by technology in general; As said before, I will always be fiddling with a piece of technology, whether a desktop computer/laptop, or an iPhone. Initially, I didn't have an interest in cybersecurity until the start of this year but when I was enrolling in the course, I really thought about the applications of cybersecurity, which intrigued me greatly. The practical units within the Bachleor of Cybersecurity that I've done so far is...fun. I enjoy learning the ways of using Python programming language and front-end webpage development with HTML and CSS. From having a look on the units left over in the course, I see units like Digital Forensics/Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security Essentials, which again intrigues me. I'm not gonna lie, I want the practical units where I can practice my tasks and see the outcome of my actions. Currently, the unit I'm working now isn't the best as it's not practical at all. As for the future, I'm certain that there will be situations where it will be beneficial for those who understand how cybersecurity works. I mean, they are already telling us about the importance of having stronger passwords. Now, I'm waiting for them to tell me the means of how black-hat hackers work

 Facebook and Twitter By Darren Lim (S8191228) Perhaps, Facebook though considered old is one of the best example of a place where humans can blog about anything. This can be seen with the numerous paragraphs that people have posted about their life without issue. This can range with what they are feeling, their favorite hobbies/pets/toys to educational content. Pictures, videos and other forms of media can be posted alongside any paragraph with text being a short caption of media posted. Currently, Twitter has the same feature of Facebook with the potential for various forms of media to be posted on an individual blog or an organisation's blog. However, it can be seen that it has gotten notoriety by giving individuals to pay to be verified and by reducing the effectiveness of fact checkers. This could allow for misinformation to not be identified by fact checkers, leading to misinformation to spread.

 What do I think of IT(Cybersecurity) as a career or as a job? By Dazza Limmo To start, it's very annoying when you have to create a blog post with content that doesn't necessarily reflect what you know about the unit, but here goes. Thankfully, it's the last. IT as a career is fascinating to me, to say the least, but Cybersecurity as a career 100% fascinates me as I get to apply security in a digital setting. I enjoy the idea that I could be working from home soon, and I also somewhat enjoy the concept that I wouldn't have to strain physically myself going out and about from an office as frequently as I do now with my security job. Only somewhat, though, I honestly don't think that I'll enjoy sitting down in the office all day. In the private sector of cybersecurity, I wouldn't mind where I work, as it would pay much better than where I work now.
